Which name rules apply?

  • Epic display names must contain 3–16 characters. Epic prohibits offensive language, private personal information and direct references to its employees, products, services or characters.
  • Epic display names can be changed once every two weeks. PlayStation and Xbox may show a different platform name.
  • These ideas are not reserved names. The platform’s own name field determines acceptance and availability.

How do I change my name?

  1. First decide whether you want to change your Epic display name or your console name.
  2. Sign in on the Epic website and verify your email address if needed.
  3. Edit Display Name in Account Settings and confirm. Keep the two-week change limit in mind.
